Hey, Morgan here—thanks for stopping by the MMBM blog! For my very first blog post, I thought I’d take a moment to share more about myself and what I do here at MMBM. Let’s dive in, shall we?
So who are you and what do you do anyway?
We’ll get the big question out of the way first 😉 I’m Morgan Tredway, founder of Making Memories by Morgan, a boutique travel agency focused on honeymoons and destination weddings. Basically, I play matchmaker with my couples to pair them up with the perfect all-inclusive resort for their honeymoon or destination wedding.
On the destination wedding side of things, I both plan the travel for you and your guests, and plan the event details for the wedding itself. I’m a travel agent + wedding planner all rolled into one!

What’s the story behind MMBM?
You can say the story of MMBM started thanks to my parents love for travel and allowing me to experience travel to Mexico & the Caribbean. A little embarrassing, but after our first few trips I loved it so much that I started taking over the planning by creating elaborate PowerPoint Presentations to try to convince my family on where to go for our next vacation. I would add in some Caribbean music or ocean waves, give facts about the country, and the last page always showed a side by side of the Kansas winter vs the stunning beach… a tad nerdy, I know, but hey it worked!
I’ve always had a love for travel planning, including getting down and dirty with the nitty gritty details. Now, I’ve traded in powerpoint presentations for slick mobile quotes & itineraries (my clients love them!)—but I’ve definitely kept my enthusiasm for all things travel.
What did you do before MMBM?
I started Making Memories by Morgan in August 2020 (crazy time to start a business, I know!) after being in the field for 3 years, and before that, I was a social worker helping kids in the foster care system. I have a big heart for giving, which that role really fed. Of course, it was also a super tough job. Today, I love that my travel work with MMBM still allows me to tap into my “giver” role—just from a more positive side!
Tell us more about your “office assistants”!
Okay, if you’ve seen the MMBM instagram, you may have met Hadley, my newest office assistant … a.k.a. my daughter, who we welcomed into the world in August 2023. She’s not the most efficient at answering emails, but she’ll get there! I also share my Kansas City home office with my two other assistants- my dogs, Kida and Ellie. During consults, my husband, Ben, holds down the fort to ensure all my office assistants are on their best behavior to ensure my clients have my full focus!
What are you doing when you’re not planning honeymoons or destination weddings?
Trying to take advantage of the 3+ acres our home sits on in KC— I love letting our dogs out and watching them zoom around the property. You’ll also find me attempting to garden (a hobby I somewhat picked up during pregnancy), cooking, and hanging out with our family and friends. It’s generally a laid-back time at Casa Tredway!
