Hey, Morgan here—thanks for stopping by the Making Memories by Morgan blog! For my very first blog post, I thought I’d take a moment to share more about myself and what I do here at MMBM as a certified travel agent for honeymoons, destination weddings, and relaxing getaways at the top all-inclusive resorts across Mexico and the Caribbean. Let’s dive in, shall we?
Let’s get the big question out of the way first, what exactly do I do?
I’m Morgan Tredway, founder of Making Memories by Morgan, a boutique travel agency specializing in honeymoons and destination weddings at all-inclusive resorts in Mexico and the Caribbean.
Think of me as your personal resort matchmaker. I help pair couples with the perfect resort for their honeymoon or destination wedding based on your vision, priorities, and budget, because not every “luxury” resort is actually the right fit.
For honeymoon couples, I help narrow down the overwhelming number of resort options, handle the booking details, coordinate flights and transfers when needed, and make sure your trip feels effortless from the very beginning. No guessing, no endless tabs open, and no wondering if you picked the right place.
For destination weddings, I take it even further by managing both the guest travel side and the wedding planning details themselves. From group contracts and room blocks to wedding timelines and resort coordination, everything is designed to feel organized, clear, and much less stressful.
Basically, I’m your travel agent and wedding planner all rolled into one, which means less stress for you and a whole lot more confidence that everything is actually handled.
Honestly, it all started with my parents’ love for travel and giving me the chance to experience Mexico and the Caribbean from a younger age. After those first few trips, I was hooked.
Slightly embarrassing confession: I loved it so much that I started taking over the vacation planning by creating elaborate PowerPoint presentations to convince my family where we should go next.
And when I say elaborate, I mean elaborate.
I added Caribbean music or ocean wave sound effects, included destination facts, resort comparisons, and the final slide always featured a dramatic side-by-side of gloomy Kansas winter versus a gorgeous beach in Mexico. Subtle? Not exactly. Effective? Absolutely.
A little nerdy, sure, but honestly… not much has changed.
I’ve always loved travel planning, especially the details most people want to avoid. Comparing options, organizing logistics, making sure every piece fits together, that has always been my thing.
Now I’ve traded PowerPoint presentations for polished mobile quotes, seamless itineraries, and destination wedding planning for my clients (which they thankfully find much more useful), but the excitement behind it is exactly the same.
Helping people create trips they’ll remember forever never gets old.

Before Making Memories by Morgan, I spent several years working as a social worker helping children in the foster care system.
I officially started MMBM in August 2020 (which, yes, was a slightly wild time to launch a travel business) after already being in the travel industry for about three years. Timing aside, I knew this was the path I wanted to build.
My work in social work gave me a huge appreciation for showing up for people during important seasons of their lives. It was meaningful, rewarding, and also incredibly heavy work.
I’ve always had a big heart for helping others, and that role really fed that part of me.
Now, through Making Memories by Morgan, I still get to step into that “giver” role, just in a much happier setting. Instead of crisis management, I get to help people plan some of the most exciting moments of their lives, honeymoons, destination weddings, and the kind of trips they’ll talk about for years.
Honestly, it feels like the best of both worlds: supporting people in a meaningful way, just with a lot more ocean views involved.
If you’ve spent any time on the MMBM Instagram, chances are you’ve already met at least one of my office assistants.
Hadley is my newest team member, also known as my daughter, who we welcomed in August 2023. She brings a lot of personality to the office!
I also share my Kansas City home office with my two other assistants, my dogs, Kida and Ellie, who take their supervisory roles very seriously. Their specialties include monitoring delivery drivers, demanding snack breaks, and making surprise appearances during the workday.
And during client consults, my husband, Ben, helps hold down the fort and makes sure all three office assistants are on their absolute best behavior so my couples get my full focus.




Trying to take advantage of the 3+ acres our home sits on in KC. I love letting our dogs out and watching them zoom around the property. You’ll also find me attempting to garden (a hobby I somewhat picked up during pregnancy), cooking, and hanging out with our family and friends. It’s generally a laid-back time at Casa Tredway!
