I have been eagerly awaiting to share highlights from some real Making Memories by Morgan destination weddings, so it’s only fitting we kick things off with one of the most special couples I’ve had the pleasure of working with! Also, it’s the perfect time to give a throw back to #PartyWithThePrestons as it’s their third year anniversary today!!!!!

Meet Mack & Michelle- not only were they the first destination wedding with Making Memories by Morgan, but Mack has been one of my best guy friends since I was 16 years old!! From the minute they texted me about getting things started, I knew this was going to be one of my all time favorite destination weddings (no shade to my other couples, this was just too sentimental of an experience not to be a favorite!). I mean come on, isn’t this an incredible celebration?! So let’s talk more about their destination wedding at El Dorado Royale & Casitas!

What made you decide to have a destination wedding?

Originally, everything was booked up in our home town in St. Louis. Once we started exploring the destination wedding option, we realized it would require much less planning because we would have less vendors to interact with. When we realized that, we were sold!

What was your favorite moment of your destination wedding week at El Dorado Royale & Casitas?

Our pool party the day of the wedding! It was a unique experience to be with our closest family and friends for our entire wedding day.

Prior to arriving for your destination wedding, what were your biggest fears?

We were most worried about logistical issues for both us and our guests, especially as guests were transported to/from the airport and El Dorado Royale & Casitas. Luckily, it was super efficient because Morgan planned everything!

Did you splurge on anything travel or wedding related? If so, what was it and did you think it was worth it?

The catamaran! We did a catamaran as a day after wedding activity and it was awesome and absolutely gorgeous.

How would you describe your experience working with Making Memories by Morgan (MMBM)?

Fantastic! Morgan helped us plan the destination wedding of our dreams! She booked over 60 guests for us while coordinating individual travel itineraries for each guest. She handled all conversations with the resort to provide as low stress of an experience as possible. We knew she would be a wonderful resource because she is so well-traveled, but we did not realize she would also be so helpful in planning every detail of our wedding week. She helped plan all details of our wedding week with our resort and made sure everything we wanted was there on our wedding day. It was so comforting to have someone in constant communication with a smile on her face! Thank you so much for planning and booking our dream wedding in Mexico!
